Q: How often do you update your site?
A: Any time we have new items to offer! At very least, the site will be updated monthly. Keep your eyes peeled for new features as we continue to develop the site. Keep in mind The Plaid Room website is maintained and designed by one person (with the occasional begged and borrowed help from her more technically savvy husband).

Q: When will you ship my order?
A: Check out our shipping section for full details. Unless you are ordering a custom item, your order will ship within 3-5 days after payment has been received. Custom orders that include custom artwork will be shipped within 3-5 days after your final approval of artwork proofs. We will inform you when your order has shipped, and when possible,, you will be provided with tracking details. We ship USPS Ground and FedEx.

Q: Is everything really handmade? Does that make them better?
A: Yes, all of our items are carefully handmade in a few small sewing and crafting studios peppered throughout Florida and Georgia. In todays over-manufactured, cold, commercialized world, we think that finding something special that has the human touch can be a rare, but comforting experience. Does that make our products better than that Louis Vitton that everyone and their mom (literally) is carrying? Guess it depends on who you ask!

Q: What goes in to making your purses?
A: The Plaid Room Collection purses and totebags are hand cut from hand drawn patterns and sewn (sometimes embroidered) on a combination of sewing machines, including two Vikings and industrial Singer. Many of the embroidered designs you'll see have been "digitized" specially for that purse by Kelly.

Q: Do you handle large custom orders for teams and corporations?
A: Yes! Please allow as much time as possible for us to accommodate your large order - ideally 1 month or more. That said, consider one of our custom embroidered products or custom photo products for your marching band, color guard, soccer team, corporate retreat, wedding party, family reunion...
